Modern Eclectic Dining

This is one of my exploration on applying various contradicting elements, textures and style being two of those. Initially, I wanted to experiment with panel styles and traditional symmetrical layout. It was first designed to be very contemporary, with polished panel and table top, paired with very airy Ghost Chairs. As the design developed, I wanted this to be have a spacious feel, an extension of outdoor into indoor. So, I decided to add weathered planks, and rustic birdcage sconce light accompanied with olive trees in rustic clay pots, along with brass pendant lamps to give a character, juxtaposing the smoothness of polished, reflective surface, and rustic, textural surface.
